Hi there, friends! We’re actually writing this from the airport in Manila, Philippines as we head to one of the final stops on our Asian winter wedding season!
We will be in Italy at the end of February and we have millions of images to share with you in the next few months.
Every day we receive emails from brides who are planning a Destination Wedding in Italy. Yes in our beautiful country! Sometimes these sweet brides ask some advice on where to get married! Italy is reaaly charming and every small village is unique. We will write some posts about beautiful cities around us. Hope someone finds helpful tips :)
We’re so excited to share SO much more with you about Italy!
Last year we shared in our old blog a seriously breathtaking Lisa and Mark wedding in Orvieto.
The day before their big day we did an “engagement session” of sorts as we toured the small streets and little towns around Orvieto, and it was so fun exploring all the charming nooks and crannies.
The best part was definitely visiting Civita di Bagnoregio, which looked like a castle on top of a huge cliff. It is called “The Dying City” and it's just magical. Even though from a distance it looks like a castle, it’s actually it’s own little town where people actually live! It can only be explored by foot, so we hiked up a bridge that felt a mile long. All the sweat were well worth it! We could’ve shot up there all day and never run out of picture-perfect spots! There were turists everywhere and our couple was really patient to wait the perfect moment for a photo :)
And the next day was their Big Day!
Orvieto is perfect for an intimate wedding! Orvieto is a beautiful town in Umbria with old medieval, crumbling walls and it’s stands in a tuff cliff. We felt in love with the beautiful Duomo with a stunning mosaic facade. It’s the perfect backdrop for incredible photos :)
Many couples choose La Badia Hotel for their wedding in Orvieto. With the incredible view it offers La badia is an incredible backdrop for an elegant Destination Wedding.
